Grice Collins Long (GCL) is an established and highly successful practice of Chartered Surveyors based in Hertfordshire. We specialise in food & beverage, travel and retail including at-hand-retail. We also deal with shopping centres, high streets and out of town locations, where we represent Landlords with respect of leasing and management.

Based at our offices in Hertfordshire this exciting role will involve all aspects of property accounting for new and existing portfolios, ranging from major motorway service areas and shopping centres to smaller commercial properties located around the UK. The successful candidate will work within the Accounts Team and will report to the Financial Director.
|Tenant Involvement||Raising tenant invoices for base rent, turnover rent, service charge, insurance and ad hoc amounts in line with the lease provisions Chasing tenant arrears Responding to tenant queries Posting tenant payments Managing RPI and turnover rent reviews Managing RPI service charge calculation uplifts Monitoring tenant turnover and managing the turnover submission and quarterly turnover uplift process|
|Client Facing||Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports based on the individual client’s bespoke needs Liaising with clients in regard to pursuit of arrears Responding to client queries|
|Property Accounting||Preparing monthly reconciliations and VAT returns based on the property’s requirements Assisting with the preparation of annual service charge budgets Assisting with the year end service charge reconciliation including managing the external audit Monitoring property expenditure|
|Qualifications||AAT Qualified||ACCA or CIMA|
|Experience||Minimum two years post qualification accounting related experience||Property accounting|
|Knowledge||Trial Balances Cash flow and forecasting Reconciliation practices||Commercial leases Service Charge Budgets, apportionments and caps Landlord and Tenant Act of 1954|
|Skills & Abilities||Advanced Excel Ability to manage multiple clients Writing and presentational abilities Experience working in and across teams Demonstrated use of remote conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Teams Ability to manage own work||TRAMPS or similar property management software Monday.com or similar work flow software|
|Salary||£23,000 pa - £28,000 pa|
